As a registrant for the NCGWA Skeet Shoot Event held at Hunting Creek Preserve, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding the use of my personal golf cart or utility task vehicle (UTV) on the event premises:

  1. Assumption of Risk

I understand and acknowledge that operating a personal golf cart or UTV on uneven or unpaved terrain presents certain risks, including the potential for personal injury, death, or property damage. I accept full responsibility for my actions and the operation of my vehicle during the event.

  1. Vehicle Requirements

I affirm that:

  • My golf cart/UTV is in safe operating condition.
  • The vehicle will be operated only by individuals age 18 or older with a valid driver’s license.
  • All passengers will be seated properly while the vehicle is in motion.
  • The vehicle will be operated at a safe and controlled speed at all times.
  1. Indemnification & Hold Harmless

In consideration of being allowed to operate a personal golf cart or UTV during the event, I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the North Carolina Ground Water Association (NCGWA), Hunting Creek Preserve, their officers, directors, members, volunteers, and event staff from any and all claims, liabilities, causes of action, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • My operation of the vehicle;
  • Any injury to myself, passengers, or third parties;
  • Any property damage caused by or resulting from the use of my vehicle.
  1. Safety & Conduct

I agree to operate my vehicle in a responsible and courteous manner. I will adhere to any directional signage or guidance provided by event personnel. I understand that reckless or unsafe driving may result in removal from the event without refund.

  1. Insurance

I affirm that I have current liability insurance coverage on the golf cart/UTV and accept full responsibility for any damage, loss, or injury caused by its use.

  1. Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that my participation and use of a personal golf cart or UTV is voluntary. By signing below (or checking the box during online registration), I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined above.

*By checking the box during online registration, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the Golf Cart & UTV Use Agreement and waive all liability against the NCGWA and Hunting Creek Preserve.
