The NORTH CAROLINA GROUND WATER ASSOCIATION is offering scholarships to eligible students who are currently enrolled or who have been accepted into an accredited college or university. Consideration will also be given to those seeking specialized courses of study, if the applicant is employed or otherwise involved in some area of the ground water industry.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for consideration, the student must:
- Applicants must be members of, or the children or grandchildren of members in good standing (for not less than three years) of the North Carolina Ground Water Association.
- Applicants must have maintained at least a 3.0 grade point average during their last two years in high school, or a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average if they are currently enrolled in a college or university.
- Applicants do not need to pursue industry-related degrees; however, applicants who are seeking degrees in water well, ground water, hydrology, geology or environmental related studies will be given special consideration.
TO APPLY
The student must complete a scholarship application and forward it (along with all required information) to the North Carolina Ground Water Association Scholarship Committee. The packet must be mailed to the following address and postmarked on or before April 15.

The NORTH CAROLINA GROUND WATER ASSOCIATION may award a grant up to $5,000.00. Scholarships can be given to multiple or single recipients or not at all at the discretion of the scholarship committee. The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final. Application on the website – www.ncgwa.org
